DIETARY SOURCES OF FOLIC ACID

Folic acid is found in a lot of food naturally.

PLANTS SOURCE:

LEAFY GREEN VEGETABLES:

·       Spinach

·       Kale

·       Collard greens

·       Broccoli

·       Lettuce

·       Asparagus

LEGUMES & NUTS:

·       Lentils

·       Black beans

·       Kidney beans

·       Peanuts

·       Sunflower seeds

FRUITS:

·       Oranges

·       Avocado

·       Grapefruit

·       Lemon

·       Banana

·       Water melon

·       Strawberries

LEGUMES:

·       Rice

·       Wheat

·       Fortified bread

·       Fortified pasta

ANIMAL SOURCE:

          Animals are not very rich source of folic acid. Following have moderate amount of folic acid.

·       Eggs

·       Liver

·       Kidney
